What is Unstable Unicorns?:
Unstable Unicorns is a very fun, easy to learn, easy to play card game made by the creator of Tee Turtle. You can see more detailed instructions here. Basically, players collect unicorns to put into their 'Stable', and once any player has the correct amount of unicorns in their stable (depending on amount of players), they win! You can use upgrades to help you win, and downgrades to stop your opponents. This is a very competitive game, great for backstabbing your friends!

Tactics:
Personally, in a lot of games I play, I'm pretty silent. I'll not mention anything about how close I am to winning, simply say what I'm doing, declare the end of my turn. I allow my opponents to fight among themselves, I occasionally stop them from completing actions, but then I blend back in. The first time I did this in Unstable Unicorns, I suddenly had 7 unicorns and the game was over. The second time, I got close, but someone went 'Wait a minute, you've almost won! When did that happen?', then everyone targeted me with everything, and this allowed someone else to snatch the win from me. Now they all watch me like hawks when I'm quiet! It doesn't work anymore.
In general though, with Unstable Unicorns, you might want to focus on downgrades, or search out all the upgrades, the tactics really depend on what you draw. Pick the strengths of your hand and play with that.
In my most recent game though, my friend came up with an insane combo which made him completely unstoppable.
----SPOILERS----
In his Stable, he managed to get Dominatrix Whip, Objection, Parallel Universicorns, Hypnocorn. There were others, but those were key. It was absolutely disgusting. Now that I look at it, it looks like Dominatrix Whip has been errata'd. He was able to move unicorns into his stable at the time. The card that we have doesn't have that last sentence. Basically though, the discard costs were cancelled out, and all anyone could do was laugh at the hopelessness of it all.

Replay value:
I've found this to be a great party game. It doesn't take long to learn, and with the MASSIVE amount of expansions, every game can be different. Everyone loves the competitiveness of this one so are usually more than happy to play it again when suggested. During their last Kickstarter I got all of the expansions and the big box for storage. We haven't even used all of the expansions yet, so there will still be plenty of replayability.

Storage / Set-up:
When you buy the base game it comes in a nice little box, and this has enough room for you to sleeve the cards and comfortably fit them in there. But if you're getting the expansions, the big box is really great. You will want a big box of some kind, with minimal dividers. All expansions end up getting mixed together but you need to keep the baby unicorns separate.
Set-up is basically take the cards out of the box, deal them out. Really simple.

Summary:
We have spent a lot of money on this game to include all expansions and to sleeve every card, but it has been with it, and I definitely recommend it! Pick up the base game first of unsure, then keep an eye out for expansions becoming available, and for any future Kickstarters for future expansions to get nice perks!
