After House of M


After House of M there is quite a lot of follow up. I basically looked up a bunch of sources to find out what I should read depending on what I was interested in, so thought I'd make this guide which might help someone else who has just finished House of M. Here's what I ended up enjoying and would recommend:

Pietro after M-Day. This reveals stuff about his past I didn't know about but I ended up reading a summary on that on a Wiki since I wasn't sure about where to find it. If you want to know about his past first, I think you should read about the Inhumans, as it would be tied in with that. This way you'll also read about Black Bolt. I never knew about this character until reading House of M. His voice destroys everything around him.
This is after Son of M... and unfortunately there is no direct follow up after this. I read somewhere that it was meant to be a trilogy which was cut short. It seems we next hear about this story-line in 'Secret Invasion' but there's a bunch of story-line that's just skipped? I'm disappointed, but it was still a fun read!

About a reporter writing about the ex-mutant's experiences, starting within days of M-Day. It's interesting.

X-Men dealing with M-Day. This is just one issue, although the way it ends it seems like there's meant to be more. It was still good to read.

This introduces who Hope is. I just read this issue, not the rest. It's summarized at the beginning of the next issue in this guide anyway.
After all that previous 'Where is Charles Xavier' stuff it was odd that I had a lot of trouble finding what issue he comes back in. I ended up just looking it up on his wiki page.

Hope returns. - Guide to the following events: here. It's 13 issues which are pretty interesting. I recommend reading through all of this, particularly since something important happens to a character that I really like though. Not sure what to say without giving spoilers. It is X-Force #26 that it happens. If you skip to that it might be slightly confusing.
This is after all that Hope and Cable arc above. 12 issues. Intense. READ IT! I do not recommend skipping this.
Avengers Vs X-Men Consequences. It's just 5 issues so best to read this before proceeding.

All-New X-Men. Once you've read a few issues of this you've pretty much read enough to know what's going on around the world throughout X-Men Legacy which is what I really wanted to read. I got up to about issue #24 and that was more than enough. I think Legacy kinda starts at the end of Avengers Vs X-Men, then the release dates of All-New X-Men and Legacy would overlap a bit but it's probably easier to read Uncanny Avengers first then start Legacy.
ALSO, some very exciting news was recently announced about a pilot for a show all about one of my favorite Marvel characters! I am very very hopeful for this.

At the moment I'm reading through Amazing X-Men but I'm not sure what I'll read after that. Please comment with suggestions =)
